Course Objectives		1. To know the methods of underwater pipe installation, 2. To know about the interaction of seabed and submarine pipeline , 3. To calculate the strength of underwater pipeline during installation, 4. To design an underwater pipeline.
Course Description		Methods of underwater pipe-laying. Design of offshore pipelines. Pipeline over an underwater sediment layer. Pipeline covering. Pipe-seabed interaction. Stress analysis of offshore pipelines during installation. Influence of waves and currents over a submarine pipeline.
Course Outcomes		Students who pass the course will be able to I.Be familiar with the methods of underwater pipe installation, II. Design an underwater pipeline, III. Perform calculations regarding the interaction between submarine pipeline and seabed, IV. Be familiar with the management of pipeline.
