Course Description
Ion Speciation in Seawater, The Redox Chemistry of Sea Water (The Importance of Oxygen; Organic Matter, Treace Metals in Seawater ), Basic principles of corrosion, Corrosion types, Reasons for corrosion, Ship corrosion and methods of corrosion provention, Offshore structure corrosion and methods of corrosion provention
Course Outcomes
Students who successfully pass this course gain knowledge, skill and competency in the following subjects;
1.Basic principles of atmospheric corrosion and seawater corrosion ;
2-Corrosion types, reasons
3. Corrosion prevention methods for ships and for offshore structures
