DEN 446 - Electr&Control Systems in Ships

Course Objectives

Purpose of this course is to provide the information of: basic electricity, foundations of electrotechnics, electric machines, electric control systems, power electronics and knowledge of basic electric and control systems projects preparation.

Course Description

Introduction to electrotechnology, basic electrical engineering laws (Faraday, Ampére, Ohm etc.), direct current (DC), alternating current (AC), circuit analysis, ship electricity, electrical machines in ships, power systems, control systems, wiring, safety.
