Course Objectives
To provide the basic information and summary of workflow about the activities being performed within classification and statutory survey and certification
Course Description
It contains the basic information relevant to survey and certification process within the scope of classification and statutory fields
Course Outcomes
Students who satisfactorily complete this course will be competent on basic information regarding
I. development of class concept and classification process
II. basic elements of classification on a ship
III. development of statutory field, inter-relation between classification and statutory field
IV. principal elements of statutory field e.g., UN, IMO, EU, EMSA, Flag State, PSC, PSC-MoUs
V. basic methodology of survey and certification within classification and statutory field.
