Course Objectives
Purpose of this course is to introduce the principles of steel marine construction, detail design and state of the art in terms of standards and workflow.
Course Description

Course Outcomes
At the end of this course students can
create construction topologies of different types of marine structures
calculate scantlings of structures by means of rules or specialised software
model 3 dimensional marine structures with CAD software
involve in detail design activities
create reports on structural design
create workshop and nesting drawings for production
create construction and production documents starting from a general arrangement plan
