Course Objectives		Deniz Teknolojisi Müh. Bölümü lisans öğrencilerine gereken detay ve açıklıkta zemin mekaniğinin temel prensiplerini öğretmek, temel mühendisliği, temel inşaatı tasarım ve uygulama konuları için gerekli temel bilgileri vermek.
Course Description		Properties and classification of sea-bed soils. Deformation and settlement of soils. Principle of effective stress. Consolidation and Shear strength of soils. Soil structure interaction. Foundation of offshore structures. Calculation of bearing capacity of driven piles
Course Outcomes		1. Deniz dibi zeminlerin fiziksel ve mekanik özelliklerini öğrenir. 2. Zemini sınıflandırabilir. 3. Efektif, nötr ve toplam gerilme kavramlarını öğrenir. 4. Bir deniz yapısının oturma miktarını hesaplayabilir. 5. Zeminin kayma direncini hesaplayabilir. 6. Derin temellerin seçimini ve boyutlandırılmasını öğrenir
