1. Introduction to basic concepts of inorganic chemistry and development of inorganic chemical perspective for chemistry
2. Inorganic chemical viewpoint for electronic structure of atom, quantum models, molecular structure, and bond theories
3. Providing information for crystal types, inter-particle interactions, acid-base theory, transition metals and coordination chemistry
Course Description
Electrons in atoms; principles of quantum mechanics, periodic properties of elements, molecular structure, covalent bond, valence bond theory, molecular orbital theory, electronegativity, ionic bond, crystal structure of ionic compounds, metallic bond, intermolecular forces, the effects of intermolecular forces, acids and bases, hard and soft acids and bases, applications related to acid base concept transition metals and coordination chemistry.
