PAZ 231 - Macroeconomics
Course Objectives
This is an introductory course in macroeconomics. The goal is to give students a sufficient
understanding of the definition and determinants of aggregate variables in the economy. Topics include:
1) introduction and preliminaries;
2)GDP and national accounts;
3)price indexes;
4) money, inflation;
5) unemployment;
6) fiscal and monetary policy;
7) exchange rates;
Course Description
Macroeconomics is the study of economywide phenomena, including inflation, unemployment, and economic growth.
