Course Objectives * To give an ability to apply knowledge of apparel mass-production techniques based on knitted clothing
* To give knowledge about machineries used in knitted clothing
* To provide the garment analysis and planning methods for knitted garments.
Course Description This course offers the student to the basic principals of knitted apparel production. The process of knitted garments, from design to delivery will be explained to the students. Knitted cloth specifications and apparel mass-production techniques, the machinery and attachments used in knitted garment manufacturing, garment analysis and production planning will be explained.
Course Outcomes * Understand the work flow of apparel mass-production for knit clothing
* Recognize the machineries used in knitted apparel production
* Prepare the sewing organization and garment analysis of knitted garment
* Develop insight into production planning for knitted garment
* Recognize the sewing types used in knitted apparel production
