Course Objectives		1. To provide skills for developing and designing apparel using emerging technologies 2. To provide skills for working together to develop and execute wearable items that address a need ( i.e., health and wellness, seated design, service work, protection, agriculture).
Course Description		Öğrenciler yazılım, yenilikçi malzemeler ve yeni üretim yöntemleri dahil olmak üzere gelişen teknolojileri kullanarak tasarım çözümleri geliştirirler. Başlangıç modülünde ileri teknikleri birleştiren öğrenciler, kullanıcıya yardım edebilecek veya destekleyebilecek yöntem ve malzemeleri kullanarak fonksiyonel çözümlerin yenilikçi prototiplerini oluştururlar. Öğrenciler, en son malzemeleri ve/veya araçları kullanarak tasarım yeniliğinde yeni bir fikir araştırmak için işbirliği yapar. Öğrenciler bir ihtiyacı karşılayan giyilebilir ürünler (ör. sağlık ve zindelik, oturma tasarımı, hizmet çalışmaları, koruma, tarım) geliştirmek ve uygulamak için birlikte çalışırlar. Bu dersin sonunda öğrenciler bir marka etiketi seçer veya yaratırlar ve şirketin vizyonuna uygun estetikle yenilikçi bir ürün tasarlarlar.
Course Outcomes		Using the discipline of sustainable design and upon successful completion of this elective course, the student will be able to: I. Form appropriate fabrications and finish for a now or near-future concept II. Analyze and apply technical solutions for the development and execution of design solutions III. Demonstrate elevated aesthetics through innovative design solutions IV. Develop a personal understanding of wearable design's aesthetics, functionality, and purpose/s V. Engage in a personal exploration of problem-solving impact of design decisions VI. Articulate and receive well-formed feedback
