Course Objectives To help students raise an interest in rhetoric and make an effective presentation in front of an
audience
2. To help students provide effective communication skills in a group
3. To improve students’ research skills
4. To improve the ability to think critically
Course Description This course focuses on the theoretical background and applied skills needed to present an effective speech in front of an audience or a small group. The theoretical knowledge is based on the elements of speech and speech preparation, which intend to reveal the indisputable connection and interrelation of the speaker with his audience,. The applied skills, on the other hand, provide the opportunity to the attendant to experience what s/he has learnt.
Course Outcomes Students who pass the course will be able to
I. apply the art of public speaking
II. speak effectively in front of an audience when he is asked to.
III. think critically
IV. search a topic from reliable sources in all aspects
V. provide effective communication skills in a group.
