Course Objectives 1. Selecting microcontrollers that will bw used in control, design of necessary electronic devices application of signals to the controller,
2. Organizing complex control algortihms to be implemented on systems via microcontroller based controlers,
3. To perform design to varies real-time control systems
Course Description Concept of real time control. Microcontrollers and Digital Signal Processors used in control applications, programming languages, operating systems convenient to real time control, effects of limited word length. Real time control structures: PID controller, Design in state space,
Optimal control, Adaptive control, sliding mode control applications. Other control methods used in real time control. Applications of real time control systems
Course Outcomes 1. Having an understanding of why real-time control is necessary and its requirements
2. To be able to design microcontroler based systems.
3. Knowledge of limitations encountered in microcontroler implementations
4. To be able to develope real time algorithms
5. To be able to apply to the microcontroller designing control algorithms
