KOM 511 - Adaptive Control Systems

Course Objectives

1.To introduce adaptive control concept to the students
2.To teach students essential methods used in adaptive control systems
3.To train students about adaptive control system design
4.To ensure that students can understand and comprehend various adaptive control applications.

Course Description

Motivation, definitions and classification of adaptive control systems. Model reference adaptive control systems. Design of continuous time model reference adaptive control systems. Design of discrete-time model reference adaptive control systems. Parametric identification using model reference adaptive strategies. Stable adaptive kontroller design methods. Recursive methods for parameter estimation. Self-tuning regulators and other adaptive control techniques.
