3 Learn generalized plant concept in the formulation of control problems.
4 Acquire basic knowledge on optimal robust control.
5 Acquire knowledge on solving basic H2 and H? optimal control problems.
Course Description Parametric state-feedback pole assignment methods for multi-input systems. Pole coloring. Robust eigenvalue and eigenvector assignment. Loop shaping, weighted sensitivity and mixed sensitivity. Robustness in Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO) systems. System representation with the concept of generalized plant. Youla parameterization. H2 and H? optimal control. Solution of optimal robust stability and performance problems.
Course Outcomes 1 To be able to find all stabilizing dyadic or full-rank pole assignment state-feedback matrices for a multi-input system.
2 To be able to make robust pole assignment using pole coloring for a system with parametric uncertainties.
3 To be able to assign eigenvalues and eigenvectors insensitive to model uncertainties.
4 To be able to express optimal control problems with a generalized process.
5 To be able to formulize all stabilizing controllers for a given linear time invariant system.
6 To be able to solve basic H2 and H? optimal control problems.
7 To be able to express and solve basic optimal robust stability and performance (RS and RP) problems.
8 To be able to present the results of his/her scientific research written in the form of a scientific paper, and orally in the form of a conference.
