Course Objectives
To study restoration/conservation techniques of buildings having different construction techniques and structures and different problems in various countries of the world; To be able to master English terminology in the field of architectural conservation
Course Description
An overview of the restoration practices of various countries and the organization of the area of building repairs; The nature of building restorations in selected countries (European, Asian, American and African countries); Introduction of various techniques and methods; Country / culture-specific approaches; Monumental restoration examples; Traditional techniques and advanced technology applications; Case-studies; English restoration terminology.
