Course Objectives 1. To provide information about process engineering.
2. Establishing an information basis about project management, problem solving methods, experimental design and process control means, which are the most basic tools of process engineers.
3. To create a background on the principles of "lean production and management" in the use of these tools by process engineers.
Course Description Basic information about process engineering, process and product development, conventional & agile project management approaches, statistical process control and its role in project management, statistical project management and six sigma, problem solving techniques, experiment design, lean management and manufacturing principles.
Course Outcomes At the end of the term, the student will be able to:

1. Be informed on the fundamentals of process engineering, the field of working and its role in project management.
2. Practice the main project management methods
3. Apply problem-solving techniques
4. Be informed on the role of statistics and statistical process control in process engineering
5. Design experiment for product / process development.
6. Be informed about Lean Production and Its Managing Principles
