Course Objectives
To learn comprehensively and in depth the state space methods in multivariable control.
Course Description
Mathematical modeling of multivariable linear systems: state space, transfer function matrix, system matrix, controllability, stabilizability, observability, detectability, minimal realization, stability; pole assignment with state feedback; state estimation and observer design; reduced-order observer design, observer-based compensator design, Kalman filter estimation, determination of zeros and poles in multivariable systems, Smith-McMillan forms.
