Course Objectives		1. Provide knowledge about biomaterials and thier characterization. 2. Introduce testing techniques for characterization of biomaterials. 3. Make familiar to applications of biomaterials such as implants.
Course Description		A review of biomaterials, characterization of materials, metallic, ceramic and polymeric implant materials, composites, absorbable polymers, structure-property relationships of biological materials, testing structural properties of physicochemical tests and mechanical test, tissue response to implants.
Course Outcomes		1. Provide knowledge about biomaterials and thier characterization. 2. Introduce testing techniques for characterization of biomaterials. 3. Make familiar to applications of biomaterials such as implants.
