Course Objectives		Housing problem, sources and different aspects of housing problem, housing problem and conditions in Turkey. Qualitative study of housing. Problems of users, post-occupation evaluation. Problems at environmental and spatial scale. Evaluation of different alternatives: study of selected examples by considering environment, house and user’s perspectives.
Course Description		Peculiar characteristics of housing and housing research; Satisfaction and housing and environmental quality; Post-occupancy evaluation studies in housing; Concept, hypothesis, strategy and method in research planning; Research approaches: diagnostic, descriptive, theoretical, action; Research design: case study, survey, experiment; Research environment: natural, contrived; Data collection techniques: Observation (observing physical cues, observing behavior), Asking questions (structured interview, questionnaire), Archives; Data analysis; Reporting.
