Course Objectives		Mimari ve kentsel ütopyalar, gelecekteki yaşam biçimlerinin kurgulanması ve bu toplumsal içeriğin somut yaşam çevrelerine dönüştürülmesi ile ortaya çıkmaktadır. Mimari-kentsel planlama, programlama ve tasarım süreçleri de daha çok geleceğe yönelik olduğundan, ütopya kavramı mimarlığın ayrılmaz bir parçası olmaktadır.
Course Description		The concept of utopia, definition and historical background; utopias of medieval times and Renaissance; industrial revolution and 19.century utopias; modern architecture and 20.century utopias;related concepts:ecotopia,distopia,heterotopia,etc.; impacts of utopias on today's architecture; planning, programming and designing for future times.
