Course Objectives

1. To give the fundamentals of vehicle dynamics,
2. To give the fundamentals of steady state cornering,
3. To give the fundamentals of tires and steering system.

Course Description

Dynamics of pneumatic tyre, wheel suspensions, roll center and axes, handling of vehicles: general equations of motion, over and under steering, influence of data on over and under steering, comparison of different vehicles, non-linear influences, dynamic stability, dynamics of single track vehicles, rear axle steering, dynamics of articulated vehicles
