Course Objectives 1. To give the fundamentals of vehicle dynamics,
2. To give the fundamentals of steady state cornering,
3. To give the fundamentals of tires and steering system.
Course Description Dynamics of pneumatic tyre, wheel suspensions, roll center and axes, handling of vehicles: general equations of motion, over and under steering, influence of data on over and under steering, comparison of different vehicles, non-linear influences, dynamic stability, dynamics of single track vehicles, rear axle steering, dynamics of articulated vehicles
Course Outcomes Students who pass the course will have got:
1. Essential basic knowledge of vehicle dynamics
2. Basic knowledge of vehicle stability
3. Basic knowledge of steady state cornering
4. The ability of obtaining the stability features of the vehicles according to the using aim.
5. The ability of providing dynamic analyses of the vehicle
6. The ability of obtaining basic knowledge of the solving of stability problems
