MAK 654E - Vehicle Control Systems
Course Objectives
The objectives of the course are;
1. tire motion control (ABS, ASR);
2. lateral motion control (ESP) and vertical motion control (semi-active and active suspension systems);
3. warning and/or control system applications based on sensing and fusing environmental data;
4. engine and powertrain control;
5. parts and devices for control, communication protocols and hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
Course Description
Tire dynamics and modeling. Vehicle dynamics and modeling. Vehicle dynamics control. Road and driver models. Modeling and control of powertrain systems. Other in-vehicle electronic control systems. Communication protocols. HIL simulation.
