Course Objectives
1. Provides a comprehensive overview of human factors issues within the maritime domain
2. Discusses a socio-technical network that incorporates human, group, technology, work practice,
organization, and work environment aspects
3. Outlines dimensions of human factors
4. Covers aspects of cognitive psychology as it is applied to maritime human factors such as senses
and perception, information processing and decision making, and human behavior
