SYC 518E - Ancient Politicial Theory

Course Objectives

Students will understand the major concepts of Ancient Greek and Ancient Roman political theory at an advanced level. Students will study major texts of political theory and the development of political ideas across texts and through history.

Course Description

The course will cover key texts in ancient political theory, by Plato, Aristotle, Cicero and others. Students will give class presentations and contributions. The course grade will be based on term papers.
