Course Objectives		1. To teach the students the advanced recording techniques in variety of musical genres 2. To teach the students the specialized analog and digital signal processing techniques for recording or mixing 3. To strengthen the student’s understanding of signal flow and gain structure 4. Course Description		Fundamental concepts in musical multitrack recording and multitrack to stereo mixing, foundation techniques and skills, Advanced microphone and live to multitrack recording techniques,
Course Outcomes		Graduate students who successfully pass this course gain the following knowledge, skills, and competencies 1. Competency in making multitrack to stereo mixes technically 2. Skill in preparing and performing live to multitrack recording sessions in a variety of genres 3. Skill in effectively managing signal flow to optimize audio component performance 4. Knowledge of applying equalization and dynamics processing techniques to recording and mixing sessions 5. Skill in applying improved awareness of balance, dynamics, spectrum and sound image to stereo mixing, 6. Competency in assessing and optimizing control room monitoring
