Course Objectives 1. Learn more on the historical aspect of conducting and not remain only on the practical side of it,
2. To develop interdisciplinary methods of research for the current phenomena,
3. To encourage interdisciplinary approach to historical musicology issues,
4. To teach the students to research and present essays in a standard musicological format,
Course Description Music production techniques, pre production and production management, repertuar, artist developent, arrangement, recording studio selection, sound design and genre management analysis, Introduction into artists, studio employees, sound engineers, brodcasters, retailers and music consumers psychology, tactics and strategies of music producres; basic recording techniques, microphone techniques, dynamic processors, effect processors, music mixing, mastering, music recording technologies, recording aesthetics,
Course Outcomes Graduate students who successfully pass this course gain the following knowledge skills and competencies:
1. Competency in categorising, contextualising, comparing and evaluating historical examples from different periods and musical genres
2. Competency in possessing a philosophical awareness of the nature and function of music,
3. Competency in commenting on a range of musical and aesthetic issues regarding creation, originality, intention, and emulation,
4. Understanding of how orchestras and orchestral ensembles have developed and evoluted,
5. Knowledge of the standard bibliographical tools and resources used in the study of a music history subject,
6. Competency in researching and presenting essays in a standard musicological format,
