Course Objectives		Comparative study of major scientific and technological developments during the Industrial Revolutions in the world and in the Ottoman Empire from the 19th to the 20th century
Course Description		The course will focus on the conceptual debates, economic and social developments as well as scientific and technological innovations during the Industrial Revolutions.
Course Outcomes		- Students who take this course will learn major economic, social, scientific and technological developments in the world and in the Ottoman Empire from the 19th to the 20th century. - They will increase their critical thinking skills. - They will learn how to analyse foreign and Ottoman archive material as well as secondary sources in the most effective way. - They will conduct field research at the museums of Istanbul.
