Course Objectives
1. To provide the students with a theoretical and critical approach on Islamic art history via art and architecture works and productions.
2. To analyze the relationship between Islamic and Turkish culture and its effects on the production process.
3. To comprehend the relationship between the productions of art and architecture.
Course Description
Islamic Art and Architecture between 7th-18th centuries. Manuscripts and Arts of the Books. Metalwork. Woodwork. Textiles. Tiles and Ceramics. Religious, vernacular, and public architecture and its decoration.
