Course Objectives

Enable students to understand the nature and characteristics of social research,
Enable students to know research methods in social research,
Provide students with the basic information needed to understand the research process, from idea formulation through data analysis and interpretation,
Enable students to use this knowledge to design a social science research,
Enable students to prepare a proposal in social science on a topic of personal interest.

Course Description

This course introduces students to the theoretical and practical foundations of social science research. In this course, particularly, it will be focusing on the foundations of social scientific research designs and research process. A group of two or three students will be asked to give a short presentation on the paper set.
