Course Objectives		The aim of this course is to evaluate the reflections of the paradigm of sustainable development at the urban scale and from the perspective of planning; to describe sustainable urban planning components; to introduce environmentally sensitive planning approach with its multidimensional components and inter-disciplinary perspective and to make students able to use the complementary evaluation tools and techniques of this approach.
Course Description		To evaluate the paradigm of sustainable development at the urban scale and from the perspective of planning.
Course Outcomes		Students who pass the course will be able to: 1. understand and evaluate development and environment paradigms 2. understand and evaluate sustainable development paradigm from a multidisciplinary dimension 3. evaluate sustainable development from planning approach 4. use and apply new approaches in the planning field in terms of sustainability 5. use the criteria and indicators to measure sustainability 6. evaluate sustainable development and planning from a legal and policy perspective
