Course Objectives

1. Introducing the main products and actors of the architectural milieu between Antiquity and 17th century.
2. Encouraging historical, critical, and comparative thinking about the architecture of that period

Course Description

The course deals with architectural history from Antiquity to the end of the 17th century. In this context, ornamentation, construction techniques, plan types and theoretical discussions will be held through monumental and civil architectural examples.
