Course Objectives
1. To cultivate brief knowledge on healthcare spaces and design
2. To inform about codes, design and application processes of healthcare spaces,
3. To cultivate a developped knowledge on diverse phases of Evidence Based Design approach, and articulating knowledge about research-based design processes and post-occupancy processes.
Course Description
Spatial transformation of healthcare spaces; spatial atmosphere in indoor and outdoor healing environments; healing environments in cityscape and landscape; building codes about healthcare spaces; program requirements and space organization of healthcare spaces; emergency rooms, polyclinics, operation rooms, patient rooms and dental clinics design; Evidence Based Design;attaining the relevant evidence; observ techniques; tools of analysis; post occupancy evaluation; comparative assessments of design outputs.
