Course Objectives

1. Understanding housing problem as complex and multi-dimensional study area because of population growth and migration, social changes, developments in architectural approaches, technology in global and local scale,
2. Examining various aspects of housing and environmental quality.

Course Description

Impacts of socio-economical, spatial and technological changes on planning and design of housing and the use of space, New housing types and design problems (gated communities, small dwellings, mixed use examples, etc.), Transformation of unplanned housing areas.
