Course Objectives		1. Kentsel coğrafyanın temel kavram ve teorilerinin kavratılması 2. İnsan, imge, eşya ve diğer materyallerin hareketiyle dönüşen kentsel mekanların kavratılması 3. Kentsel sistemlerin gelişimine yön veren politik, ekonomik ve teknolojik güçlerin öğretilmesi 4. Kentlerdeki yeni düzen ve etkileşimleri ve bunların geçirdiği evrimin kavratılması 5. Derste elde edilen bilgiyi farklı kentsel sorunları anlama ve kent planlama anlayışını geliştirme amaçlı kullanımın geliştirilmesi
Course Description		Elements of urban geography; urbanisation; dialectics of space-time; mobilities; social and spatial justice; inequalities; cities in the global south; rights to the city; impacts of global networks and societal transformations on cities; body to urban politics; technological changes and the city; art, space and the city; the urban experience; planetary urbanism; climate change and cities
Course Outcomes		Student, who passes the course satisfactorily can: 1. have an approach to urban issues from a wider perspective 2. develop an understanding of causality regarding cities 3. develop an understanding of critical space-time geographies 4. develop a critical view of the urban phenomena 5. evaluate the changing dynamics of the urban environment
