Course Objectives		1. To analyze evolutionary steps of technology 2. To familiarize students with basis concepts of technology 3. To analyze factors effecting development of technology 4. To analyze the role played by technology in human life 5. To analyze the degree of technological complexity in history of science and technology.
Course Description		This course will introduce to the evolutionary stages of technology from prehistoric times to the present day. Basic concepts, Relationship between technology, sciences, and society, The nature of technology and its interaction with different cultures, Turning points in history of technology, Technology in prehistoric times, Technology in Ancient Greek and Hellenistic Periods, Technology in Roman Period, Technology in middle ages, Technology in Renaissance and Enlightenment period, Technology in Ottoman, Technology in early modern age, Technology in modern age are the subjects of this course.
Course Outcomes		Students who succeed in this course will improve their ability to; 1- Know basis concepts 2- Know the relationship between technology and different cultures 3- Know evolutionary stages of technology from prehistoric times to the present day. 4- Know the factors influencing technology.
