MBA 510E - Strategic Management

Course Objectives

The objective of this course is to discuss the theoretical and practical implementations of the strategic management process so that students will learn to sustain competitive advantage of corporations and improve their organization’s performance.

Course Description

The course introduces the strategic management process, the role of top management team in the process and how strategic planning is operationalized in various ways, develops a risk based external and internal analysis framework, implements SWOT and TOWS, reviews generic strategy development at the corporate and business levels as well as underlines why and how firms employ such strategies via examples.Uses cases to help develop students in the strategic planning and reporting cycle.
