Course Objectives

• To study the musics of the world in terms of regions, countries and cultural areas comperatively.
• To interprete musical cultures in various identity representations
• To contribute individual studies of the students through learning musical cultures in the world and debates on musics of the world and contributing to the students’ original studies in that context.

Course Description

Study of music cultures from various regions of the world in different contexts such as migration, memory, identity, gender, politics, beliefs and rituals.
